Resize a video for any platform in one click

Resize any video to the exact shape each platform wants, with 16 presets for TikTok, Reels, Shorts, Stories, Instagram feed, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube (up to 4K), X and LinkedIn, or a custom size. Fill the frame with a blurred background, color bars, a smart crop you can pan and zoom, or a stretch, trim to the platform's time limit and download an MP4 rendered faster than real time.

A landscape clip posted as a Reel leaves black bars, and a vertical phone video uploaded to YouTube is squeezed into a narrow strip. Pick the platform and the video is re-framed to the exact pixel size it expects. The preview shows the final framing, and the export is encoded straight to MP4 (H.264 + AAC), which every app accepts.

Detailed guide

Blur, crop, bars or stretch: which fill to choose

Blurred background keeps the whole picture visible and fills the empty space with a soft, darkened copy of the video, which is the look most creators use for landscape-to-vertical conversions. Crop to fill removes the bars completely by trimming the edges; use the zoom slider and drag the preview to keep the subject in frame. Color bars add a solid color (great for brand colors), and Stretch fills the frame by distorting the picture, which is only advisable for tiny ratio changes.

Convert landscape to vertical (16:9 to 9:16)

Choose TikTok, Reels or Shorts. With Blurred background the full landscape shot sits in the middle of a 1080 × 1920 frame; with Crop to fill and a zoom of around 100% the frame is filled by the center of the shot, and you can drag left or right to follow the action. For talking-head videos, crop and pan to the speaker's face for the most native look.

Trim to the platform limit

If your clip is longer than the platform allows, a warning appears and the Trim option opens with the limit already applied. Drag the handles on the filmstrip to choose the best section. Lower render sizes (75%, 50%, lite) export faster and give smaller files when you only need a preview or a draft.

Fast, private export

Unlike tools that upload your video or record it in real time, this resizer decodes and re-encodes every frame in your browser with WebCodecs. A one-minute video usually exports in well under a minute, the file has a correct duration and seeks properly, and the original sound is copied across untouched.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert a landscape video to vertical 9:16?

Choose the TikTok, Reels or Shorts preset. Blurred background keeps the whole picture; Crop to fill fills the frame and lets you drag to keep the subject centered.

What size is a TikTok, Reels or Shorts video?

1080 × 1920 pixels, a 9:16 vertical ratio. All three presets export exactly that size.

Can I resize a video without cropping it?

Yes. Use Blurred background or Color bars: the whole picture stays visible and the leftover space is filled.

Can I choose what part stays in frame when cropping?

Yes. With Crop to fill (or any zoom above 100%) drag the preview, or use the pan sliders, to reframe the shot.

Is the audio kept?

Yes. The original soundtrack is copied into the resized video.

How long does resizing take?

Usually less than the length of the video, because frames are encoded directly with WebCodecs instead of being recorded in real time. Lower render sizes are even faster.

Is my video uploaded?

No. Resizing happens entirely in your browser.

Can I set a custom size?

Yes. Choose Custom size and enter any width and height up to 3840 pixels.
