How to use

How to use Screenshot Studio

  1. 01

    Pick a mode

Open Screenshot Studio and choose Beautify, Stitch, Frame Remover, Annotate, or Viewport Planner from the tabs at the top.

  2. 02

    Add your screenshots

Upload, drag-and-drop, or paste images straight from your clipboard. Stitch and Annotate accept multiple files; Frame Remover and Viewport Planner work on a single shot.

  3. 03

    Edit in the studio

Reorder and merge shots, strip the device frame, draw arrows/boxes/blur/zoom loupes, or plan an exact viewport with device presets and guides.

  4. 04

    Export

Choose PNG or JPG and 1x–3x scale, then download a crisp image. All processing happens locally in your browser — your files never leave the device.

Overview

One studio for every screenshot task

Screenshot Studio is an all-in-one, browser-based toolkit that replaces a pile of single-purpose apps. Stitch a scrolling capture into one tall image, strip the phone bezel and status bar from a device screenshot, annotate with arrows, numbered steps, blur, boxes and zoom loupes, and plan the exact viewport you need for responsive QA — then export crisp PNG or JPG. Everything runs locally in your browser, so nothing is uploaded and there is no watermark or signup.

Built for docs, tutorials and bug reports

Whether you are writing a help article, recording a reproducible bug, shipping release notes, or building a social carousel, Screenshot Studio gives you professional results without Photoshop or a screen-recording subscription. Reorder shots with drag and drop, auto-trim overlapping content when stitching, pixelate sensitive data in one click, and number your steps so readers always know the order. Each mode shares the same clean export pipeline at up to 3x resolution.

Plan viewports before you capture

The Viewport Planner turns vague 'make it fit the phone' requests into exact numbers. Pick a device preset — iPhone, iPad, Pixel, Galaxy, desktop — or type a custom width, height, device-pixel-ratio and orientation, and see the real CSS viewport dimensions. Add safe-area and rule-of-thirds guides, drop your screenshot into a device frame, or capture the live tab directly when the browser allows it. You leave the planner knowing precisely what size to capture.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do I beautify a screenshot with a background?+

Open the Beautify tab and drop in a screenshot. Pick a gradient or solid background (or a custom colour), then adjust padding, corner radius and shadow, and optionally add a light or dark macOS-style window frame. Export as PNG or JPG at up to 3x — ideal for social posts, docs and release notes.

How do I stitch multiple screenshots into one image?+

Open the Stitch tab, upload or drop in your screenshots in order, then drag to reorder them. Choose vertical or horizontal layout, set the gap and background, and optionally trim overlapping content automatically. Export the combined image as PNG or JPG.

Can I remove the phone frame and status bar from a screenshot?+

Yes. The Frame Remover tab lets you crop precisely to the content area, and offers device presets (iPhone, Android) that strip the bezel, notch and status bar in one tap. You get a clean, frameless screenshot for docs and stores.

How do I annotate a screenshot with arrows and numbers?+

In the Annotate tab, load your image and use the arrow, numbered step badge, box, text and blur tools. Numbers auto-increment so your steps read in order, and every action supports undo and redo. Export when the callouts look right.

How do I blur or redact sensitive parts of a screenshot?+

Select the blur/pixelate tool, drag over the area you want to hide — a name, email, price or API key — and it is pixelated instantly. Use it to redact personal data before sharing bug reports or tutorials.

What is a zoom loupe and when should I use one?+

A zoom loupe is a circle or square that shows a magnified copy of a detail, like a magnifying glass on the image. Use it when a small UI element, code snippet or error message is too tiny to read at full size.

How does the Viewport Planner help with responsive QA?+

Pick a device preset or enter a custom width, height, device-pixel-ratio and orientation to see the exact CSS viewport dimensions. Add safe-area and rule-of-thirds guides, frame your screenshot in a device mockup, or capture the live tab when the browser allows it.

Is there a watermark or do I need an account?+

No. Screenshot Studio is completely free, adds no watermark, and requires no signup. You can export at 1x, 2x, or 3x resolution as PNG or JPG.

Are my screenshots uploaded to a server?+

Never. All stitching, cropping, annotation and export happen locally in your browser using the Canvas API. Your images are not sent anywhere, logged, or stored — the work is private and instant.
