Fake Email Generator for Realistic Inbox and Email Screenshots

A free fake email generator that makes realistic Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, Yahoo and Proton Mail screenshots. Write your own emails or generate a whole random inbox with current dates, add threads, attachments and buttons, switch between desktop and phone, light and dark, and export a PNG or JPG. 100% client-side, no sign-up, no watermark.

Fake Email Studio builds convincing email screenshots for Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, Yahoo Mail, Proton Mail and a generic professional inbox. Write the sender, subject and message, or press Generate inbox to fill a believable inbox of fictional emails with dates based on right now. Add threads, attachments, call-to-action buttons, labels, avatars and signatures, then export a crisp PNG or JPG in a desktop window or a phone frame. No sign-up, no watermark, and nothing is uploaded. It makes screenshots, not working email addresses.

Generate a Whole Inbox in One Click

The random inbox generator writes between 3 and 16 emails across work, shopping, social, travel, school, newsletters and personal categories, or a mix of all of them. Names, companies, subjects, bodies and attachments are invented, send times run newest first, and every date is calculated from the current time, so you never see a stale year. Add a single random email, mark everything read or unread, or edit any message afterwards.

Threads, Buttons, Attachments and Rich Message Bodies

Type plain text with a tiny bit of markup, or use the toolbar above the message box to insert it. Add earlier replies to make a conversation thread (collapsed like Gmail, or expanded), attach files that show their type icon and size, upload real files to use their name and size, and drop in a banner image for newsletter-style emails.

The Small Details That Make a Mockup Believable

Set To and Cc recipients, the list time and the full date shown in the open email (or press Now), expand the from / to / date details card, edit the signature, mark messages unread, starred or important, give them coloured labels, and upload a profile photo or keep the coloured initials avatar. On a phone, choose between the inbox list and an opened email, and edit the status-bar clock and battery level.

Use Fake Email Screenshots Responsibly

The tool is built for tutorials, UI and marketing mock-ups, thumbnails, memes, skits and fiction. All generated names and companies are fictional. Do not present a mock-up as a genuine email, impersonate a real person or company, or use it to deceive anyone, since that can be fraud.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make a fake email screenshot?

Choose a client (Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, Yahoo, Proton or generic), then press Generate inbox or add an email and type the sender, subject and message. Adjust threads, attachments, labels and dates, then click Download to save a PNG or JPG.

Is this a temporary or disposable email address generator?

No. It creates screenshots and mock-ups of emails, not working addresses, and it cannot send or receive mail. If you need a throwaway inbox for sign-ups, use a disposable email service instead.

Can it generate a random inbox for me?

Yes. Pick a category (mixed, work, shopping, social, travel, school, newsletters or personal), choose how many emails you want, and press Generate inbox. The senders, subjects and bodies are fictional and the dates are based on the current time.

Which email clients are supported?

Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, Yahoo Mail, Proton Mail and a generic professional mailbox. Each has its own layout, tabs, toolbars, folder list and accent colours, in light and dark mode.

Can I make a phone screenshot?

Yes. Switch to Phone to get a device frame with a status bar, then choose the inbox list or an opened email and edit the clock and battery level. Tapping an email in the preview opens it.

How do I make an email thread or conversation?

Open an email in the editor and click Add earlier message under thread. Each reply has its own name, time and text. Turn on Expand thread to show all messages in full, or leave it off for the collapsed Gmail-style rows.

Can I add buttons, links and attachments?

Yes. Use the toolbar above the message box to insert bold text, links, call-to-action buttons and bullet lists, add attachments with type icons and sizes, and upload a banner image. Uploading a real file uses its name and size only; the file itself is never sent anywhere.

Can I change the date and time?

Yes. Edit the list time and the full date shown in the open email, or press Now to set both to the current time. The details card can show the from, to, cc and date lines.

Is there a watermark or sign-up?

No. It is free, needs no account and adds no watermark. Export PNG or JPG at 1×, 2× or 3×, or copy the image to the clipboard.

Does it save my work?

Your emails and settings autosave in your own browser so you can come back later. Nothing is uploaded, and the Reset button restores the sample inbox.

Is it legal to make fake emails?

Making them for tutorials, mock-ups, memes, skits and fiction is fine. Using them to deceive someone, fake evidence, phish, or impersonate a real person or company can be fraud, so always keep them clearly fictional.
