Many social platforms strip metadata on upload, but forums, marketplaces, email attachments, and direct file transfers usually do not. Removing EXIF re-encodes the visible image without any of the hidden fields, so the photo looks identical while the location, camera, and timestamp data are gone. This tool detects that data and names the likely generator in View mode, and Remove mode strips it. Note that some AI images also carry an invisible pixel watermark (such as Google SynthID) baked into the image itself; that is not metadata and cannot be removed by stripping metadata.
