Remove metadata the right way

Many social platforms strip metadata on upload, but forums, marketplaces, email attachments, and direct file transfers usually do not. Removing EXIF re-encodes the visible image without any of the hidden fields, so the photo looks identical while the location, camera, and timestamp data are gone. You can clean a whole batch at once and control export quality, and the before/after size comparison confirms the metadata was removed.

Add and edit metadata losslessly

Sometimes you want metadata rather than less of it, an author credit, a copyright notice, a description, a capture date, or a shoot location. The editor writes a fresh EXIF block directly into the JPEG's file structure without recompressing the pixels, so your image quality is preserved exactly. Existing tags are pre-loaded into the form so you can correct or overwrite them in place.

Why do sites label my image “Made with AI,” and can I remove that?

AI generators (OpenAI, Google Gemini/Imagen, Adobe Firefly, and others) embed provenance metadata, C2PA “Content Credentials” and IPTC digital-source-type tags, and platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook read them to show a “Made with AI” label. This tool detects that data and names the likely generator in View mode, and Remove mode strips it. Note that some AI images also carry an invisible pixel watermark (such as Google SynthID) baked into the image itself; that is not metadata and cannot be removed by stripping metadata.

Does removing EXIF reduce image quality?
