Structured data that earns rich results

Generate valid JSON-LD structured data for Organization, LocalBusiness, Article, Product, FAQ, Event, Person, Website and Breadcrumb, ready to paste into your page.

Schema.org markup tells search engines what your content means, that this is a product with a price, an FAQ, or a local business with an address. Google uses it to show rich results like star ratings, FAQ dropdowns and breadcrumbs, which stand out and lift click-through. This generator outputs valid JSON-LD, Google's recommended format.

Detailed guide

Pick a type, fill the form, paste the code

Choose from nine common types, fill in the fields, with repeaters for FAQ questions and breadcrumb steps, and the JSON-LD updates live, already wrapped in a script tag. Paste it into your page's head and validate with Google's Rich Results Test. Everything runs in your browser, so your data stays private.

Where to put the JSON-LD code

Paste the generated code inside a <script type="application/ld+json"> tag in the page's <head> or anywhere in the <body>; Google reads both. Add each schema only to the page it describes: Organization and WebSite markup usually go on the homepage, Article on each post, Product on each product page and LocalBusiness on your contact or location page. In WordPress you can use a header-and-footer plugin or your SEO plugin's custom schema field. Test the page with Google's Rich Results Test and the Schema.org validator after publishing to catch missing required properties.

Rules to stay eligible for rich results

Structured data must describe content that's visible on the page. Marking up reviews, prices or FAQs that users can't see breaks Google's guidelines and can lead to a manual action. Keep values accurate and in sync with the page when prices, availability or dates change. Valid markup makes a page eligible for rich results but doesn't guarantee them, and Google has reduced some types: FAQ rich results are now limited to authoritative government and health sites, and HowTo rich results were removed. Schema still helps search engines and AI systems understand your content.

Frequently asked questions

What is schema markup?

Schema markup is structured data (from schema.org) that describes your content to search engines. In JSON-LD form it can unlock rich results like FAQ dropdowns, review stars and breadcrumbs.

Which schema format should I use?

JSON-LD is Google's recommended format. This tool outputs JSON-LD wrapped in a script tag that you paste into your page's head.

Will schema guarantee rich results?

No: valid markup makes your page eligible for rich results, but Google decides whether to show them. Always validate with the Rich Results Test.

Is my data private?

Yes. The markup is generated entirely in your browser and nothing you enter is uploaded.

How do I add schema markup to my website?

Pick a type (FAQ, Article, Product, LocalBusiness, HowTo, etc.), fill in the fields, and the generator outputs valid JSON-LD. Paste it into a script tag in your page's head or body. It is built to pass Google's Rich Results Test.

What is JSON-LD structured data and why does it matter?

JSON-LD is code that describes your page's content to search engines, making it eligible for rich results and helping AI engines understand and cite your page. It sits in a script tag and does not change how the page looks.

Which schema types can I generate?

Common types including FAQPage, Article, Product, LocalBusiness, HowTo, Organization, Breadcrumb, Event and Review, each producing ready-to-paste, Rich-Results-valid JSON-LD.
