Three studios, one location tag maker

Design pixel-accurate location tags in three studios. Build Story stickers that match the real Instagram look (white, dark, gradient and solid-colour versions), Map pins (a Google-style teardrop marker, an Apple-style drop pin and a map callout bubble), or clean badges and pills (solid, gradient, glass, outline, dark and shadow). Add a place, a subtitle, a GPS coordinate line and a date, pick from nine icon styles and four fonts, tune the accent colour, corner radius and drop shadow, then export a transparent PNG (up to 4×), a scalable SVG or copy straight to your clipboard. Text is measured precisely so every tag sizes itself perfectly, and everything renders locally in your browser with nothing uploaded and no signup.

Location Tag Generator does more than a single pill. Switch between Story stickers that recreate the real Instagram location-sticker look in white, dark, gradient and solid-colour versions; Map pins with a Google-style red teardrop marker, an Apple-style drop pin with a soft ground shadow, and a map callout bubble with a pointer tail; and clean badges and pills for on-brand chips. Type a place, add an optional subtitle, GPS coordinates and a date, then pick an icon and font. Because the tag is drawn with SVG and its text is measured precisely, it always sizes itself around your words — no clipped labels, no awkward gaps — and stays razor-sharp from a tiny reel overlay to a large poster.

Detailed guide

Style it exactly, then export anywhere

Choose from nine icon styles, eight gradient presets or any accent colour with a custom hex picker, four fonts, a corner-radius slider and a drop-shadow toggle. Preview on a transparent checkerboard or a light, graphite or gradient backdrop. When it looks right, export a transparent PNG at 1× to 4× that drops straight onto a photo or story, download a scalable SVG for design tools, or copy the image to your clipboard and paste it into your editor. Everything runs on your device — nothing you type or design is uploaded, stored or sent anywhere, and there is no account.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make an iOS-style location tag?

Type the place name and an optional subtitle, choose a pin, dot or compass icon, pick an effect, corner radius and accent colour, then download a transparent PNG or SVG.

Is the export transparent?

Yes. The pill exports on a fully transparent background as a PNG, so it drops straight onto a photo or story. You can also export a scalable SVG.

What styles are available?

Thirteen across three studios: Story stickers (IG White, IG Dark, IG Gradient, IG Color), Map pins (a Google-style Map Marker, an Apple-style drop Pin and a Map Callout bubble) and Badges & pills (Solid, Gradient, Glass, Outline, Dark and Shadow). A corner-radius slider takes any chip from lightly rounded to a full pill.

Can I make a Google Maps or Apple Maps style pin?

Yes. The Map pins studio has a Google-style red teardrop marker with a place label, an Apple-style drop pin with a soft ground shadow, and a map callout bubble with a pointer tail. Set the pin colour to match.

Can I add GPS coordinates or a date to the tag?

Yes. Toggle on a subtitle (country or region), a GPS coordinate line (for example 40.71° N, 74.01° W) and a date or caption. You type the values yourself — the tool is a creative overlay and does not read your real location.

Can I change the icon, font and colour?

Yes. Choose from nine icon styles (pin, dot, compass, navigation arrow, flag, globe, star, home or none), four fonts (Inter, Poppins, Mono, Serif), eight gradient presets and any accent colour, including a custom hex picker.

Is my data uploaded?

No. The tag is rendered locally in your browser with SVG. Nothing you type is uploaded, stored or sent anywhere.

How do I make an Instagram-style location tag graphic?

Enter a place name and style it as a location sticker or tag overlay, then export a PNG you can drop onto photos or content. It is a creative overlay, not real geolocation.

Can I use the location tag as an overlay on my photos?

Yes. Export a transparent PNG sticker and place it over an image in your editor for a social-media look.

What can I export, and at what quality?

Export a transparent PNG at 1×, 2×, 3× or 4× for crisp overlays, download a scalable SVG for design tools, or copy the tag straight to your clipboard and paste it into your editor.

Is it free and does it need a signup?

Yes, free with no signup; the graphic is rendered in your browser.
