Discounts can be a percentage or a fixed amount, shipping is a separate line, and an 'amount paid' field produces a running balance due, so deposits, retainers and milestone billing are handled cleanly on one document.

Your billing data stays private

Client names, addresses and amounts are sensitive. Because the invoice is built, saved and exported entirely in your browser, with drafts stored only in your own device's local storage, none of that information is uploaded or retained on a server. How do I create an invoice for free?

Fill in your business details, the client's details and your line items, then click Download PDF. There is no signup, no watermark and no limit on how many invoices you create.

What should an invoice include?

A unique invoice number, issue and due dates, your business name and contact details, the client's details, a description, quantity and price for each item, taxes, the total due and how to pay. Add tax IDs (VAT, GSTIN, EIN) where required.

Can I add different tax rates to different items?

Yes. Turn on 'Different tax rate per item' to set GST or VAT per line, for example 5% and 18% on the same invoice. The totals show a tax summary for each rate.

How do I show CGST and SGST on an invoice?

Click the 'CGST + SGST 18%' preset to add both taxes at 9% each, or 'IGST 18%' for inter-state supplies. You can rename taxes and change rates freely.

Can I add a QR code for payment?

Yes. Paste a PayPal.me, Stripe, bank or UPI payment link and choose 'From pay link' to print a scannable QR code, or upload your own QR image.

How do I number invoices?

Use a sequential format such as INV-2026-001. When you start a new invoice, the generator automatically uses the next number after your highest saved invoice.

Can I save clients and reuse items?

Yes. Save a client from the Bill to section and reuse their details later. Save frequent products or services to your item list and add them with one click.

How do I mark an invoice as paid?

Set the status to Paid or enter the amount already paid. A PAID stamp appears on the invoice and the balance due updates. Your history shows paid, sent and overdue invoices.

Can I create quotes and receipts too?

Yes. Change the document type to Quote, Estimate, Proforma Invoice, Receipt or Credit Note. Labels such as 'Valid until' adjust automatically.

Is my invoice data uploaded anywhere?

No. Invoices, clients and history are stored only in your browser. The PDF is generated on your device.

Which currencies are supported?

24 currencies including USD, EUR, GBP, INR, PKR, AED, SAR, CAD, AUD and more, formatted correctly for each, with amounts in words for INR and others.

How do I add multiple line items to my invoice?

Click 'Add Line Item' to add rows. Each row has fields for description, quantity, unit price, and automatically calculates the line total. Add as many items as needed.

How do I set a due date and payment terms?

Pick a term, Due on Receipt, Net 7, Net 15, Net 30, Net 45 or Net 60, and the due date is calculated automatically from your issue date. Both the term and the due date appear on the invoice so the client knows exactly when payment is expected.

Is my client data stored anywhere?

No. Everything is processed in your browser and nothing is saved after you close the page.

Can I invoice in different currencies?

Yes: choose the currency symbol that matches the client, and totals format accordingly.
