How a DPI analyzer works
Find your mouse's real DPI. Move the mouse a measured distance along a ruler and this analyzer counts the raw movement, divides by the distance and shows your true DPI. Run a few trials to average out errors, compare against the DPI set in your mouse software, and see how far off your sensor is.
DPI (dots per inch, also called CPI) is how many movement counts a mouse sends for each inch it travels. If you move the mouse exactly 4 inches and the browser receives 3,200 counts, the mouse is running at 800 DPI. Pointer lock hides the cursor and delivers raw counts, and unadjusted movement asks the browser to skip operating-system acceleration, so the count reflects the sensor rather than your pointer settings.
