Business days and inclusive counts

A separate business-days figure counts only weekdays, which is useful for delivery windows, contracts and deadlines. Toggle 'include the end day' when you want both endpoints counted, such as billing periods or holiday lengths. All calculations run locally in your browser.

Inclusive vs exclusive counting

By default the calculator counts the days between two dates the way most calendars do: from 1 March to 5 March is 4 days, because the start date isn't counted. If you need both the first and last day included, for example for a hotel booking, leave request or event that runs across both dates, turn on inclusive counting and the result becomes 5 days. Leap years are handled automatically: 2024 and 2028 have a 29 February, while 2100 will not, because century years are only leap years when divisible by 400.

Business days and deadlines

Business-day mode counts only Monday to Friday, which is how most contracts, shipping estimates and notice periods are measured. It doesn't know your local public holidays, which differ by country and region, so subtract those yourself when a deadline falls near a holiday period. Some legal deadlines also move to the next working day if they land on a weekend. For project planning, remember that a "30-day" payment term usually means calendar days, while "10 working days" means business days, and the difference can be two weeks or more.

How do I count business days with a Friday-Saturday weekend?

Choose Fri + Sat in Working days. This matches the UAE (before 2022), Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and Egypt.

Can I exclude public holidays?

Yes. Add each holiday date and it is skipped in working-day counts and in business-day date math.

How do I count the days between two dates?
