Picker Wheel

A spinning wheel randomizer for quick, fair decisions. Add options, spin the wheel, and let randomness decide — perfect for classrooms, giveaways, team picks, and 'where should we eat?'

Add your options, hit Spin, and let the wheel choose. This free picker wheel handles everything from a two-option coin-flip to a 200-name classroom roster: weight entries so some come up more often, turn on elimination mode to remove each winner for a fair draw, recolour and rename slices inline, and celebrate the result with confetti and a one-tap copy. Everything runs and saves in your browser — no account, no upload.

How to use

How to use Picker Wheel

  1. 01

    Add your options

Type entries one at a time, paste a whole list in the Bulk tab, or load one of the 8 built-in templates like Yes/No, lunch ideas, or dice.

  2. 02

    Customise colours and odds

Click any colour swatch to recolour a slice, click a name to rename it inline, and drag the weight slider to give some options a higher chance of winning.

  3. 03

    Spin the wheel

Press Spin, tap the centre hub, hit the Spacebar, or swipe the wheel on a touchscreen. The pointer at the top marks the winning slice.

  4. 04

    Act on the winner

When the wheel stops, a card shows the result with confetti — copy it, remove it from the wheel, or spin again without losing your place.

  5. 05

    Run a fair draw

Turn on elimination mode so each winner is removed automatically, guaranteeing every option is picked once before any repeats — ideal for name draws and giveaways.

Use cases

Common use cases

  • Randomly call on a student in class without picking favourites
  • Run a fair, on-camera giveaway or raffle draw for a live audience
  • Decide where to eat, what to watch, or who goes first on a team
  • Assign chores, tasks, or presentation order among a group
  • Weight a prize draw so entrants with more tickets have better odds
Overview

A fair random picker wheel for any decision

Add your options, spin the wheel, and let it choose — ideal for raffles, classroom name-picking, giveaways, team assignments, or settling 'where should we eat?'. Each unweighted entry has an equal, unbiased chance, and the spin physics land the pointer on a genuinely random slice every time. When a decision needs to feel impartial — especially in front of a class or an audience — a visible spinning wheel is far more convincing than a name pulled quietly from a hat.

Weighted odds and elimination mode

Two features turn a simple spinner into a flexible decision engine. Weighted odds let you drag a slider to make one option twice — or ten times — as likely as another, which mirrors raffles where some people hold more tickets or games with deliberately uneven chances; the live percentage on each entry shows the exact probability. Elimination mode removes each winner from the wheel after it's picked, so over several spins everyone is chosen exactly once with no repeats. That combination covers everything from a fully fair name draw to a heavily biased prize wheel.

Built for classrooms, giveaways, and teams

Paste a full class roster or a list of entrants in the Bulk tab and the wheel builds itself instantly, colour-coding each slice for you. The eight built-in templates — yes/no, lunch ideas, team A/B, dice, household chores, truth or dare, and more — get you spinning in one click. Because the wheel is big, animated, and swipeable on a touchscreen, it works just as well projected on a classroom screen as it does on a phone passed around a table.

Simple, shareable, and private

Customise entries in seconds and reuse the wheel as often as you like — your list, colours, and settings are saved in your browser between visits. Because everything runs locally, your names and options never leave your device and nothing is uploaded, which makes the wheel safe for private team picks, internal draws, or anything you'd rather not put on someone else's server.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do I make a free picker wheel online?+

Type your options one at a time, or paste a whole list in the Bulk tab (one per line), then click Spin. The wheel randomizes and lands on a winner. You can add unlimited entries, recolour each slice, rename them inline, and load a template to start faster.

Is the picker wheel truly random?+

Yes. Each spin uses the browser's random number generator and a randomized spin force, so every unweighted option has an equal, independent chance. Weights only change the odds if you deliberately set them — otherwise no option has any advantage.

Can I use this as a random name picker for a classroom?+

Absolutely. Bulk-paste your class roster to build the wheel instantly, then spin to call on a student at random. Turn on elimination mode to remove each name after it's picked so everyone gets a turn before anyone repeats.

What is elimination (fairness) mode?+

Elimination mode automatically removes the winning entry from the wheel after each spin. This guarantees every option is selected exactly once before any repeats — ideal for name draws, team assignments, and giveaways where fairness matters.

Can I import a large list of names at once?+

Yes. Open the Bulk tab and paste a list with one item per line. The wheel rebuilds itself with colour-coded slices and can handle hundreds of entries instantly.

Can I apply weighted probabilities to the picker wheel?+

Yes. Drag the weight slider on any entry to change its odds — for example, making 'Option A' come up twice as often as 'Option B'. The live percentage shows each option's exact chance, which is useful for raffles where some participants hold more tickets, or games with unequal odds.

Does the wheel save my options?+

Yes. Your options, their colours, weights, and your sound and elimination settings are saved in your browser's local storage, so the wheel is exactly as you left it next time you visit. Nothing is uploaded — everything stays on your device.

Can I spin the wheel on my phone?+

Yes. The wheel is fully touch-friendly — tap the centre Spin hub, or flick the wheel to spin it with a swipe. On desktop you can also press the Spacebar to spin hands-free.

What is Fairness Mode?+

It automatically removes each winner after they're picked, so over several spins everyone gets selected without repeats.
