Compare Coins

Compare up to 4 cryptocurrencies side by side — price, market cap, 24h & 7d change, volume, supply and all-time high — with 7-day charts and a market-cap 'what if' simulator.

Put up to four cryptocurrencies head to head. Compare Coins shows price, market cap, 24-hour and 7-day change, trading volume, circulating and max supply, and all-time high in one clean table — with the best value in each row highlighted, 7-day charts for each coin, and a 'what if' simulator that reprices any coin at another's market cap.

How to use

How to use Compare Coins

  1. 01

    Start with the defaults

The tool opens comparing Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana — remove any you don't need with the × on its chip.

  2. 02

    Add coins to compare

Use the 'add coin' search to bring in any of 10,000+ coins, up to four at once, side by side.

  3. 03

    Scan the comparison table

Read price, market cap, change, volume, supply and all-time high in one grid, with the leading value in each row highlighted.

  4. 04

    Check the 7-day charts

Each coin's header card shows its live price, 24h change and a 7-day trend so momentum is easy to compare visually.

  5. 05

    Run a 'what if'

Use the simulator to see what one coin's price would be if it reached another coin's market cap — a quick reality check on upside.

Use cases

Common use cases

  • An investor compares Ethereum, Solana and Cardano before allocating.
  • A trader checks which of two coins has stronger 7-day momentum.
  • A researcher compares circulating vs max supply to gauge inflation.
  • A beginner sees how far each coin is from its all-time high.
  • An analyst asks what a small-cap would be worth at Ethereum's market cap.
  • A holder compares 24h volume to judge liquidity across coins.
Overview

Every metric that matters, side by side

Compare Coins pulls live data for up to four cryptocurrencies at once and lays out the numbers that actually drive decisions: current price, market capitalisation, 24-hour and 7-day change, trading volume, circulating and maximum supply, fully diluted valuation, and distance from all-time high. The leading value in each row is highlighted so strengths and weaknesses jump out without you having to squint at raw numbers across tabs.

Why market cap beats price for comparison

A coin priced at $2 isn't 'cheaper' than one at $2,000 — price alone is meaningless without supply. Market capitalisation (price × circulating supply) is the true measure of a coin's size and is what you should compare. This tool puts market cap, rank and fully diluted valuation right next to price so you can see, for instance, that a low-priced coin with a huge supply can be far larger than a high-priced one with a small float.

Supply, inflation and dilution

Circulating supply, maximum supply and fully diluted valuation tell you how much of a token exists today versus how much eventually will. A coin with a large gap between circulating and max supply faces future dilution as new tokens unlock, which can weigh on price. Comparing these figures side by side helps you spot which assets are near fully diluted and which have significant emissions still to come.

The market-cap 'what if' simulator

One of the most common questions in crypto is 'what if this coin reached that coin's market cap?' The simulator answers it directly: pick a coin and a target market cap from another coin, and it reprices the first using its real circulating supply. It's a useful sanity check on upside claims — but it's a simple thought experiment that ignores token unlocks and liquidity, so treat it as a reality check, not a price prediction.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do I compare cryptocurrencies?+

Add up to four coins and this tool lays out their price, market cap, 24h and 7d change, volume, supply and all-time high in one table, with the best value in each row highlighted and a 7-day chart for each coin. All data is live from CoinGecko.

How many coins can I compare at once?+

Up to four cryptocurrencies side by side, chosen from over 10,000 coins. Add or remove coins at any time and the table and charts update instantly.

Why should I compare market cap instead of price?+

Price alone is meaningless without supply — a $2 coin can be far larger than a $2,000 coin if it has a bigger circulating supply. Market cap (price × supply) is the true measure of size, which is why it sits right next to price in the comparison.

What does the 'what if' market-cap simulator do?+

It reprices one coin as if it reached another coin's market cap, using its real circulating supply. It's a quick reality check on upside — but a simple thought experiment that ignores token unlocks and liquidity, so it's not a price prediction.

What is the difference between circulating and max supply?+

Circulating supply is how many tokens exist and trade today; max supply is the total that will ever exist. A large gap means future dilution as new tokens unlock. Comparing both helps you judge a coin's inflation profile.

Is the tool free and private?+

Yes. It's completely free with no signup, runs entirely in your browser, and only fetches anonymous public market data from CoinGecko.
