How bubble letters work in Unicode

Bubble text isn't a font. Each letter is swapped for a separate Unicode character from the Enclosed Alphanumerics blocks, such as Ⓐ (U+24B6) for a circled capital A or 🅐 for a negative (dark) circled letter. Because these are real characters rather than styling, they survive copy and paste into Instagram bios, TikTok names, Discord and most chat apps. The trade-off is coverage: circled digits only exist from 0 to 20 in the standard set, and some punctuation has no enclosed version, so the generator leaves those characters as they are. On very old phones a few squared or dark-circle symbols may show as empty boxes if the system font doesn't include them.

Accessibility and where to use it

Screen readers read enclosed letters by their Unicode names, so a bubble-text username may be announced as "circled latin capital letter A" for every character, or skipped entirely. Keep decorative text short, and don't use it for important information such as links, contact details or instructions. Search engines and in-app search also treat these characters as symbols rather than letters, so a bio written entirely in bubble text won't match searches for your name. A good rule is to use bubble letters for one or two accent words, such as a section label or a name highlight, and keep the rest of your profile in plain text.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make bubble letters?

Type your text and copy the 'Bubble (Circled)' result. Each letter becomes a circled Unicode character, so the bubble look stays when you paste it anywhere.

Will bubble text work on Instagram and TikTok?

Yes. The characters are standard Unicode, so they paste correctly into Instagram, TikTok, Discord, YouTube and usernames.

What styles are included?

Outlined bubble, filled dark bubble, squared, dark-squared and parenthesized letters, all generated at once for you to choose from.

Is it free?

Yes: free, no signup, no limits, and it runs entirely in your browser.

How do I make bubble (circled) text?

Type your text and copy the bubble version, where each letter sits inside a circle. It uses Unicode, so it pastes into bios, posts and messages anywhere.

What is the difference between filled and outlined bubble text?

Outlined bubble letters show a circle around each character, while filled bubble letters are white characters on solid circles. The generator offers both styles to copy.

Does bubble text work on Instagram and Discord?

Yes. Because it is standard Unicode (the Enclosed Alphanumerics block), it displays in Instagram bios, Discord and most apps that render Unicode.
