# Jitter Click Test

> Free jitter click test: measure your jitter clicking CPS in timed runs with a live graph, per-second breakdown, consistency histogram, chatter detection and saved bests.

Test how fast you can jitter click. Jitter clicking means tensing your forearm so your finger vibrates on the mouse button, firing clicks faster than a normal tap. This test opens in jitter mode with a live clicks-per-second graph, per-second breakdown and interval histogram, so you can see your peak speed and how quickly the tension fades.

## What this tool does

- Opens directly in jitter mode, counting every left-button press on the pad.
- Timed runs from 1 to 100 seconds, race-to-target and an endless mode with a rolling one-second rate.
- Per-second breakdown that shows how fast your jitter speed drops as your arm tires.
- Click-interval histogram to judge how even your vibration rhythm is.
- Chatter counter that separates real jitter clicks from switch double-fires.
- Personal bests, attempt history and shareable results stored only in your browser.

## How to use Jitter Click Test

1. **Grip the mouse firmly** — Place your index finger on the left button and hold the mouse with your thumb and ring finger. Lift your wrist slightly off the desk.
2. **Tense your forearm** — Tighten the muscles in your forearm until your hand starts to shake. The finger should vibrate on the button rather than tap deliberately.
3. **Start a short run** — Use 5 seconds at first. Jitter clicking is tiring, and long runs mostly measure fatigue.
4. **Check the per-second chart** — A steep drop after a few seconds is normal. Practice flattens it out.

## Common use cases

- Measuring jitter clicking speed for Minecraft PvP and clicker games
- Comparing jitter against butterfly and regular clicking
- Tracking progress while learning the jitter technique
- Checking whether a mouse registers fast jitter clicks cleanly

## About

### What is jitter clicking?

Jitter clicking is a technique where you tense the muscles in your forearm and wrist so that your hand vibrates, making your finger press the mouse button many times a second. A typical jitter clicker reaches 10 to 14 CPS, compared with 6 to 8 CPS for normal clicking. The trade-off is fatigue: the tension is hard to hold for more than several seconds, and aim suffers because the whole hand is shaking.

| Level | Jitter CPS |
| --- | --- |
| Learning | 7 to 9 |
| Average | 10 to 12 |
| Fast | 13 to 15 |
| Exceptional | 16+ |

### How to jitter click without hurting your arm

Keep runs short and take breaks between them. The vibration should come from tension in the forearm, not from forcing the finger, and you should stop if you feel pain in the wrist or elbow. Some players find that pressing the hand slightly into the mouse and tilting the wrist gives a faster, smaller vibration. Practise in Endless mode to find a rhythm without the pressure of a timer.

### Jitter vs butterfly vs drag clicking

Jitter clicking needs only one finger and works on any mouse, but it is tiring. Butterfly clicking uses two fingers and is easier to sustain. Drag clicking can reach the highest numbers but depends heavily on the mouse surface and switch. The best technique is the one you can keep up for the length of a fight with acceptable aim.

## FAQ

### What is a good jitter CPS?

Around 10 to 12 CPS is average for jitter clicking, 13 to 15 is fast and anything above 16 is exceptional. Normal clicking usually sits at 6 to 8 CPS.

### How do I jitter click?

Hold the mouse firmly, put your index finger on the left button and tense your forearm until your hand vibrates. The vibration presses the button rapidly. Keep runs short, because the tension is tiring.

### Is jitter clicking bad for your hand?

Holding heavy tension for long periods can strain the wrist and forearm. Use short runs, rest between them and stop if anything hurts.

### Why does my jitter speed drop after a few seconds?

Fatigue. The per-second chart shows it clearly: most people peak in the first two to three seconds and then slow down. Regular short practice makes the drop smaller.

### Is jitter or butterfly clicking faster?

Butterfly clicking usually reaches higher CPS and is easier to sustain. Jitter clicking needs only one finger and works on any mouse. Try both here with the same duration and compare.
